The Final Report is Done

Facing Hunger in America final report
We have completed the final report of Facing Hunger in America.  In it, we reviewed and summarized best practices and issues we saw with the programs we visited (a total of about 93).  The main sections are:
  • Charitable Food Safety Net:  I Need to Eat Now
  • Charitable Food Safety Net:  I Need to Feed my Family Later
  • Charitable Food Safety Net:  Donations
  • Is the Charitable Food Safety Net Sufficient?
  • Federal Food Safety Net
  • It's Never Only about Providing Food
  • Inclusive, Healthy Food Systems
  • Advocacy:  Making Change
  • What Comes Next?
If you would like us to email the report (about 100 pages), or if you would like one of us to speak to your group, please reply to this post or send email to one of the authors.

Thank you again to all the wonderful people we met in our journey to understand hunger in America. You gave us life-changing experiences, and we will carry your faces, stories, inspirational practices, and struggles with us as we move onward to advocacy!
